Branding, Design Systems, UI, Website

As FreshBook’s subsidiary brand*, Monsum needed a website refresh to ensure that it adheres to FreshBooks creative standards. As the web designer for FreshBooks. I redesigned their marketing website and created a Brand Guidelines and Design Systems that will allow for scalability in the future.

Brand exploration

Brand exploration

Since Monsum didn’t have a detailed branding and design foundations, I started by exploring different brands and developing different visual concepts that align with Monsum’s vision and core values. The objective of this exercise is to define Monsum’s visual identity by combining its existing brand elements with new styles and design components.

After defining the brand direction,  I created a more detailed brand guideline, which then informed the design systems that will be later on used for the website. Even though there are only a few pages to be designed, establishing detailed guidelines early on will ensure a scalable and accessible design for future pages, while maintaining consistency with the brand.

Website Redesign

Website Redesign

The goal of the project was to redesign the website with updated visuals and improved user experience. With a defined visual branding and scalable design foundations in place, I was able to redesign the entire website efficiently. As part of the design process, I created branded assets, analyzed and refined the information architecture, created wireframes, designed prototypes for various screen sizes and collaborated with developers and stakeholders to ensure the designs were implemented smoothly and accurately.
